Alchemille Denim Shorts

I bought these shorts in XS as I saw an earlier review state they fit like size 36 and I can now confirm the reviewer was right, they really fit large for an XS. Normally I wouldn't even try that size in non-stretch denim but these fit me surprisingly well (according to the size chart I should have taken S).

I got these shorts only because I really loved the embroidery on them, and it's just as beautiful irl as on pictures. Still I'm disappointed there's embroidery only on the front, and not on the behind (I was aware of this before buying, I just thought maybe it won't bother me but it does). I think the behind side looks really boring because of that. The overall impression of the design is underwhelming. Although on the bright side the shorts look great paired together with the Azalia vest (which I also wish had embroidery on the backside of it).

Also the fit on the behind wasn't really flattering, more like flattening, and I don't like how short the shorts are cut on the behind. The front side looks great but I hate how much of my ass cheeks are uncovered because of this. I suppose I can wear the shorts with leggings or tights underneath but that's not really how I planned to wear them, and it's not how they look on the model either.

I considered returning the shorts but decided to keep them just because of how much I liked the Azalia vest, and how well they looked together as a matching set. Additional small bonus is the shorts aren't too uncomfortable to wear even…

I was absolutely over the moon when I saw these. Had to have them. So because of the “no stretch” aspect of these shorts I originally ordered in a medium.. they showed and and they were WAY too big, so I sent them back and exchanged for a small.. That cost me over half of what I paid for them.. The small fits better but they are just completely unwearable unless you’re totally okay with your bum hanging out everywhere for everyone to see. Also, despite the small fitting in the waist, the crotch area seems to have just WAY too much fabric. These are the oddest cut and illest fitting piece of clothing I’ve ever purchased. I’d send them back again, but the cost just isn’t worth it considering I’ve already paid 1.5x their “worth”..
