Not fit for purpose

I bought the tartan version of this bag, though it’s no longer available so I thought it was worth leaving the review here since it’s the same bag, just a different colour. Firstly, it looks great, I really love the style! The front pocket is a bit awkward to get into as the faux leather flap is quite stiff and covers the zip, though that wasn’t a major issue, it’s still kind of annoying! There are also no interior pockets other than the laptop compartment, which is not something I’m used to, most backpacks at least have a little zippy pocket on the inside for smaller items that you might not want to put in an exterior pocket. Still, it was my favourite bag for taking to dance class, but then I used it for work twice, carrying a laptop and little else, and the straps have started to come away as well as the stitching on the laptop compartment coming undone, exposing the white foam underneath. It’d be fine for just carrying lightweight items, but a bag with a laptop compartment should really be strong enough to carry an actual laptop, and this one sadly isn’t. I’ve attached photos of the damage, as well as the contents of the laptop when I used it for work, just to show how little was actually in there (the water bottle was empty when it was in the bag!)
